Writer's Block

I started writing in 2018. Since then, there have been many days when it was tough to write. I want to share some advice on how to work through the block. I want to start with letting you know that you should give yourself some credit and self love. Self-care is key to keeping yourself sane, at least to me. Below are more tips.
Write everyday
I journal about my personal life almost every day. I have a daily goal for adding 500 words or more to my book. I want to publish at least one book per year, so that takes a lot of time. For example, I added four pages recently.
Know when and where you are most creative
I am creative first thing in the morning and in the evening. Understanding that I spend my morning brainstorming and my evenings putting words to paper. I am currently ahead of my planned schedule.
Forget the rules once in a while
Writing sci-fi, you have to stay within the genre lines, but I like adding unique features that are outside the box. Mixing formats and genres makes the plotlines interesting and fun.
Take regular breaks
There are days when I take a break from working on my books. Like using a weekend to relax and refresh the mind. I suggest that everyone take some time for themselves.
Set clear deadlines
Setting goals and deadlines helps me stay on track. Whether they are big, like publishing, or small, like daily goals, they can guide you. I have changed deadlines due to the changes in writing, like short stories.
Brainstorm in fun ways
At first, it is easy to use the same methods. Changing things up can give you new ideas.
Do lots of reading
I think that reading others' ideas will change how you see things.
Different writing method
Sometimes I type out pages, and sometimes I use pen and paper.
Avoid comparing
Although this is hard, avoiding comparison will make you feel better in the long run.
Live your life
You can have a private life and write. I spend, at most, four hours a few times a week writing.
