Why I keep journals

As a kid, I would always have a lot on my mind. Now, as a young adult, I still struggle with thinking that there's so much going on in my head at once. Dealing with depression, anxiety, and PTSD has its good days and its bad. I started to write about my daily life, then as time went on, I added more.
These days, I write about what I am working on and what the day will contain. I started a dream journal so I could see if I have similar dreams. For today, August 11, I have a few things on my to-do list.
Look at job applications and apply to jobs
Working on this blog
Working on book #2 of my current series
Work on the music that I upload to Soundcloud
Stay tuned in with YouTube and music
Take a nap if I really need to
Possibly watching Twitch gameplay
Attend weekly therapy meeting
Maybe make some art or start the process
Help my Hubby get ready for his job
Maybe some Stardew Valley on Xbox later tonight
Get to bed at a good time
As you can see, I keep myself busy throughout the day. If I don't get everything I want done, I know what I can do tomorrow. On my bad days, I can pour out my soul onto a page or two.
I suggested to everyone to keep at least one journal, so you can reflect and see the personal progress you have made. I am not the person I was last week, and I am not the same person as I was last year. I remind myself that growth comes with it's ups and downs, the kick is how we tech ourselves. Remember to be kind to yourself and take some time for self-care.
