Deathly Music

There are a few things that help me feel better. One of them is music, but sometimes it can backfire. I could hear a radio playing as I slowly woke up. I was alone in a colorful room covered in tapestries. I looked for the radio, but I could only find speakers. I got dressed; there was an endless amount of clothes around the room.
I followed the cables down a beautiful spiral staircase. At the ground level, vines and plants have taken over the walls. At the end of the hallway, I could see that a light was on. The music was echoing louder from the hallway, so I was taking careful steps. I am not sure who will be at the end of the hallway. Once I turned the corner, I saw no one there.
The radio was not on full blast, just sitting in front of a PA microphone. That’s how I was able to hear it in the speakers upstairs. I can’t find the off switch to the radio. There was a locked door behind the radio, so I picked at the lock with a hairpin I found. Once I got it open, it made the loudest creaking sound I have ever heard. I had to search the walls for a light switch, but I did find one.
A grand piano made out of bodies, how creative. So I closed the door, and I thought it was safer to leave the light on. Just in case that thing has all the souls it took to make it. I will admit that I understand the darker side of humanity, but I don’t agree with it, and I don’t follow it. Since this was the only door, I headed back upstairs. There were windows, but they didn’t open as if they were glued shut.
The music changed from calm and peaceful to joyful. This scared the living shit out of me, because that means the piano knows I’m here. It knows that I left the lights on when I found it. So I hide under the bed, on the underside of the frame. If I lie on the ground, I will be easy to find, but the underside is hard to look at. The music wasn’t getting louder, but I knew at any second that door would fly open.
The widows were shattered, throwing glass everywhere. Then, like I predicted, the door swung open and the piano slowly entered the room. I was prepared for anything, like getting stabbed or tossed. So I shut my eyes tightly, praying that I would leave this dream. I opened one eye to see if my wish came true. I was back in reality, and I could exhale without worry.
